COMPUTER HARDWARE

Hardware:
Hardware is the name for the mechanical and electronic components of a computer.


Monitors –
1.The monitor shows information on the screen when you type.
2.This is called outputting information.
3.Monitors come in many types and sizes from the simple monochrome (one color)
screen to full color screens.






Keyboard -
1.The keyboard is used to type information into the computer or input information.
2.There are many different keyboard layouts and sizes with the most common for Latin
based languages being the QWERTY layout (named for the first 6 keys).The standard
keyboard has 101 keys. 





Mouse –
1.Most modern computers today are run using a mouse-controlled pointer.
2.Generally, mouse has two buttons the left one is used to select objects and text
and the right one is used to access menus.
3.One type of mouse has a round ball under the bottom of the mouse that rolls and
turns two wheels that control the direction of the pointer on the screen
4.Another type of mouse uses an optical system to track the movement of the mouse.

Printers –
1.The printer takes the information on your screen and transfers it to paper or a
hard copy.



Speakers-
1.Speakers give out information in the form of sound.
2.Computer speakers range widely in quality and price.



System Unit
1.A system unit is also known as a base unit.
2.It is the main body of a desktop computer . Containing the:
>motherboard,
>power supply,
>cooling fans,
>internal disk drives,

>and expansion cards (such as video and network cards)
